Skywagon
I’m away from home and only have my cell. Can someone remind me the valve specs please. Hard to search on cell Link to comment

Skywagon
Update. Yesterday I had a valve check done at just shy of 30,000 miles. Thanks to alegerlotz for pointing me to the specs while away from home and my books Here is what we found Spec intake .10-.17 Actual .16 on both Spec Exhaust .34-.41 Actual .38 and .37 So after not needing adjustments @ 12k, 24k, or 30k.. I suspect I can leave them alone now for a good while. Thoughts? 1 Link to comment
realshelby
I will probably still inspect mine at the 12K service interval. But after actually needing to adjust them a while back I suspect I will never again need to actually adjust them. Maybe ever. I had one exhaust valve tight from the first time I checked and it was ever so slightly under the minimum clearance at 40 some K miles iirc. I set all valves to mid spec while in there.... The reason I don't mind checking....is that I want to put an eyeball on the cam lobes each time! 3 Link to comment
Dave_in_TX
Although I always inspected them at the recommended interval, the valves on my 2014 R1200GS never needed adjustment in 132k miles of ownership. Link to comment
